About

I’m a chemist turned woodworker with a passion for crafting tools that blend artistry and functionality.

If you share a love for craftsmanship, community, and creativity, I’d love to connect. Let’s make something great together.

A passion for crafting tools

Hi, I’m Dennis, a chemist turned woodworker with a passion for crafting tools that blend artistry and functionality.

My journey began with a love for power tools and wood which morphed into a love for hand planes and traditional woodworking, but I quickly found myself drawn to the art of sawmaking. To me, saws represent the apex of expression, individuality, skill, and practicality. They’re fundamental tools in countless trades, shaping raw materials into possibilities, and I’m honored to contribute to their legacy.

My desire to make saws ignited when I saw what modern makers were producing, inspiring me to combine traditional techniques with my own creative vision.

While I’ll always love making furniture, boxes, and timber frames, sawmaking holds a special place in my heart—it’s my way of bringing beauty and utility into the world while connecting me to the rich history of toolmaking.

Infusing my work with historical significance, power, and grace

You might notice my logo features Romulus, my Cane Corso. He’s not just a beloved member of my family; he symbolizes the historical significance, power, and grace I strive to instill in my work. My wife and I are excited to welcome our first child soon, and we share our home with four wonderful pets.

A LIFE OF RESILIENCE, LOYALTY, AND COMMUNITY

Beyond woodworking, I enjoy cooking, playing instruments, and listening to music. Mental health is a cause close to my heart, and I encourage others to prioritize it as a key to a fulfilling life. I love volunteering and connecting with fellow woodworkers and tool fanatics, sharing the joy and therapeutic benefits of this trade.

Being from Buffalo means a lot to me. The culture here is one of resilience, loyalty, and community, which I try to reflect in my work and life. I’m proud to support local initiatives and create within a region that’s given me so much, from the camaraderie of its sports teams to the undeniable truth: Buffalo has the best chicken wings on Earth.

I also cherish time in the outdoors, a love that began during childhood summers spent at my family’s camp in the Adirondacks. Whether it’s hiking, building, or simply enjoying nature, those early experiences inspire everything I do.
